This is the month of '8's.. the much anticipated day 08/08/08 was the once in four years Olympics! 09/08 was our national day. seemed like big events come closely together. this beijing olympics is so massively reported and toked about.. partly coz the world is looking at how the chinese will fare in holding such events. well, olympics to me was all along 'just a sporting event'.. till this year. To be able to see the world come together peacefully and harmoniously in the name of sports is simply heart warming. people everywhere celebrate and toked about common topics regardless of social or political views, countries coming together to support their participating atheletes, the cheers and cries.. its been long since such peaceful scene can be seen in this world. Peace is the word.
anyway just to add on~ Singapore is finally getting our first olympic medal after a little less den half a century! didn't get to catch the match live, but i did follow through the result live though. was quite proud of the team when we won by the wee bit. seriously many times along the game i tot we'll just lose it.. oh well, the not very singaporean team for singapore did leave us Singaporeans somethg to be proud of. okay it sounds, and Is really ironical. but will look forward to the match this coming sunday! though its like less den 50% chance of winning, but i believe should be exciting de. haha rocks!
